My Baby" by Yimh
at FanFiction.Net The series Tenchi Muyo! is great fodder for many kinds of fics, as the series itself is one of fantasy and humor. Demons, Princesses, and one regular guy from Rural Japan who happens to live with six alien women. This fic is a cute one, plain and simple. Washu, who created Ryoko (not to mention alot of other things) has decided to reverse Ryoko's age, making her a five year old girl with no memory of her former self... Now, what would everyone think of that? Of course, Ayeka would be a happy camper, as the 700 year old Mummy woman would no longer be her rival in winning the affections of Tenchi. Kiyone? Well, she'd be upset because she couldn't drag Ryoko back to Headquarters and get her long awaited promotion. Sasami would have a playmate, but all the food she cooks would become instant leftovers. Washu is another matter. Being Ryoko's creator, she has the desire to be more of a "mother" to her. But the normal Ryoko wants nothing to do with her like that. That's why Washu made the change, because the resulting "Chibi Ryoko" looks at her as "mommy", just like she always wished. Yeah, there are lots of typos (how does now become know?), but that's really the only little flaw this fic has, and it doesn't hurt the story at all. There are a few surprises here and there, and they pop up totally unexpectedly. But that's what makes this fic fun, in my opinion. Yimh seems to think that this story has a bad ending. I disagree. The ending stays true to alot of episode endings in the Tenchi series. All in all, it's a very sweet fic, and looks into Washu's motherly intuitions well, as well as how the rest of the gang reacts to the situation. It's short, but it's a wonderful read. I suggest checking it out and dropping Yimh a review. It's worth your time, trust me!
