Silent Lucidity - A Ranma ½ SongFic Also HERE at FanFiction.Net

Ranma ½ has been a long time favorite of mine. The story of a young martial artist and the girl he's been arranged to marry. Only trouble is, he has a curse that turns him into a red headed girl when doused in cold water. Yeah, warm water turns him back. But it's not always a good thing. Add a cast of interesting characters, some of which have similar curses (cat, duck, and his own father becomes a panda), and what you have is Rumiko Takahashi's brilliant Martial Arts/Sex Comedy.

Queensryche. They came out of the Seattle area in the late 80s and early 90s with a sound that, thankfully, wasn't Seattle-ish. From the town that gave us Nirvana and Pearl Jam comes the next evolution of sensory rock, pioneered by my all time favorite band, Pink Floyd. Blending straight forward, hard-edged rock and roll with a symphonic backdrop, they've crafted some of the most electric tunes ever. One of their greatest tunes came off of the Empire CD, a song written for a little girl who was having trouble sleeping.

Which brings me to this fic. I've gone beyond the series and took a little creative liberty with the outcome. Though I've seen a ton of Ranma episodes, I'm unfamiliar with anything beyond season three. Ranma and Akane really do love each other, it shows at various points in the series (though I felt a little jaded with "Ramna and Juliete"), and I've taken then to the next level. In this fic, they're married, and now run a Saotome School of their own. This takes place on any given night soon after the wedding, and Akane is having trouble sleeping. Without giving away any more, I leave it to you to get the rest of the story.
